This Privacy Policy explains how SpaceSaver Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit spacesaver.shop or buy from us. In Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) sets the rules for how businesses handle personal information in the course of commercial activity, and this policy is written to meet it. In some provinces a substantially similar provincial law applies instead, depending on where you live and how your information is handled.

Information we collect

We only collect the information we need to run the store and serve you well. This may include:

• Information you give us: your name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number when you place an order or contact us.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processors, Stripe and PayPal. We do not see or store full card numbers.
• Information collected automatically: such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies once you accept them.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your cart. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies (such as Google and Meta) measure how our advertising performs. Non-essential cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. How we use your information, and with your consent

• To process and deliver your orders and provide customer support.
• To send order confirmations, delivery updates and, where you have agreed, marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
• To improve our website, products and service.
• To prevent fraud and keep our store secure.
• To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We use your information only for the purposes we collected it for, or for a purpose you have agreed to.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run the store: with our payment processors, the couriers who deliver your order, our email and hosting providers, and the analytics and advertising providers named above. Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country. We require them to protect your information and use it only for the service they provide to us. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, including meeting legal, accounting and reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Your rights under PIPEDA

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used.
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Withdraw your consent to a use of your information, subject to legal or contractual limits.
• Complain about how we have handled your information.

To use any of these rights, email us at theteam@spacesaver.shop. We respond within the time the law allows, which under PIPEDA is 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, or to a provincial privacy regulator where one applies. You can also contact us first and we will try to put it right.

Keeping it safe

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (SSL) connections throughout the site and checkout. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
